Connecting to the BCMedia wireless network or wired ethernet to wall

Objective

Connect your computer, Smart TV, gaming console (Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo), tablet, streaming device (Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire), smart assistant (Amazon Echo, Google Home, etc.) to the Beloit College wireless network or wired network, if it will not connect to BCNet.

Process

First, try connecting your device to the BCNet wireless network.

If your device won't connect to BCNet:

  1. Obtain the MAC address from the device (usually found in Network Settings menu for wired or wireless).
  2. Go to https://regnet.beloit.edu/guest to register the MAC address of your device.
  3. Connect the device to the BCMedia wireless network or with wired ethernet to the wall.

 

If you attempted to connect to the BCMedia network before registering your device, disconnect from the network and then try connecting again.
