Connecting to BCShares (M drive) departmental shared folders (Mac)

Objective

Connect to the BCShares (M Drive) shared folders on a college workstation.

Process

To connect to BCShares, you must be either on campus and connected to an Ethernet port or the BCNet wireless network, or connect to the VPN from off campus.

  1. Make sure you are connected to the campus network with one of the methods listed above.
  2. On the desktop, double-click BCShares.
    or
    Open Finder and click BCVault under Locations, then double-click BCShares on the right.

If BCShares is not available:

  1. Open Finder and click the Go menu at the top of the screen, then choose Connect to Server...
  2. Type smb://bcvault/bcshares in the dropdown box and click Connect.
