The interruption to printing on campus on Thursday, September 16th has been resolved, and printing services have been restored. To improve reliability, some changes have been made to the printing system. As a result, some action from you may be required in order to resume printing.
Printing from a faculty or staff Mac
If you use a college-owned Mac, you will need to reinstall any campus printers that are currently installed. To do this:
- Remove any existing campus printers individually, or remove them all at once.
- Reinstall your printers using the LITS Self Service app.
When printing for the first time after installing a new printer, you will be prompted to enter your college username and password. Check the box next to "Remember this password in my keychain" to avoid this prompt in the future.
Printing from a faculty or staff Windows PC
Printing on Windows should continue to work as usual, however you may be prompted to install an updated printer driver. Please click Install Driver to update the software.
Printing from a personal device
The process for connecting to printers from a personal device has been updated. If you're unable to print from your personal computer or mobile device after today's changes, please follow this link (if you're on campus) to reinstall the print queues, or find detailed instructions for your specific device in the LITS Knowledgebase.
If you have any difficulty accessing the campus printing system, or if you have questions or concerns about these changes, please reply or visit support.beloit.edu and we'll be happy to provide further support.

LITS is aware of and investigating an issue with printing on campus. Both personal and campus-owned devices are currently unable to print to networked campus printers, both through the release station queues and when using direct printing. Local printers that use a USB connection are not affected.
We are actively working with our print service provider to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and will provide an update as soon as more information or a resolution is available. We apologize for the disruption to your work and appreciate your patience.
